In Awe

If you are fortunate enough, you will meet an extraordinary person in your lifetime that inspires you to do more with your life. I am blessed to have had countless individuals just like that who have travelled through mine, even if only for a short visit.

My dear friend L...ministering in Asia is an example. She hardly sees herself as extraordinary (she has always been that way), and yet she is one of those people that I have always aspired to be more like.

My parents...generous, forgiving, gracious, hospitable, kind, and such hard workers. I am in AWE.

My friends Matt & Jess...their relationship is one that is inspiring to all that come in contact with them. They were made for each other, and are such examples of what Christ desires marriage to look like.

My husband...a Godly man in every way, he has taught me so much. He is a better father than I could have imagined, and so very patient with me.

As I write, I have dozens of more people coming to my mind. Kelly and her love story that crossed country boundaries and within which has produced twins...Crystal who is one of the most thoroughly beautiful people I've ever met...a missionary through and through...Christy who is a warrior against all odds and adoptive parent of the century...Eileen who has won a war against cancer...Perhaps I should tell more of you how extraordinary I think you are. Or perhaps I should have an "Inspirational Person of the Week" so that I can share more stories about those extraordinary people in my life. In any case, thank you for allowing me to be witness to your stories. I feel so rich knowing you all.
