A Dream Come True

BEFORE (gross...I do clean, I promise!)

AFTER...I want to cry...it is SO PRETTY!!



Keep in mind the theme you've been seeing in my blogs the past few days: DIY home improvement. I am a self-proclaimed Do-It-Yourselfer, and I am proud of that. However, you must weigh the options, and if a project is over your head, call in the professionals.



We have called professionals on two projects as of late. One is a project that Danny has been begging for since we moved into this house (no, it isn't concrete...that is a bit too pricey still). I will post more about that project after we have pictures...most likely on Sunday.


The other project we called a professional to tackle was my deepest desire: the cleaning and sealing of my tile floors. Now I know what you might be thinking, "But Jolene, I so enjoy reading of your adventures in steaming your floors every other week. Who cares that the knees on many of your pants are worn out, as are the tools on your steamer, and the floor still isn't perfect...reading about all the sweat you put into your floors is MY dream come true!" I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I just couldn't handle it anymore. I needed help.


My floors now are dazzlingly beautiful. I just walked into the kitchen and looked at the WHITE grout, and had to gain control of myself. I just wanted to roll around on the floor, tears in my eyes, and sing the Hallelujah chorus at the top of my lungs. This is something that I'VE wanted since we moved in, and finally my dream has come true. (Oh the things that make us happy once we are grown ups.)
