Today I made an observation. Have you noticed that on Christmas you can use the excuse "but it is Christmas" to get out of just about any responsibilities / obligations? Let me give you a few examples:
"I should get up early and get the coffee going for everyone, but it is Christmas!"
"I really need to watch my calories, and shouldn't eat these cinnamon rolls / large turkey dinner / peppermint bark / pumpkin pie, but it is Christmas!"
"The kitchen needs to be cleaned, the floor swept and the baby cleaned up before company arrives...but it is Christmas!"
"I probably should take a shower and not stay in my pj's all day, but it is Christmas!"
Just for the record, I didn't use this excuse today, but will post more about our Christmas later. Blessings to you all!
