The first poo of the day: Last night was a little tough...Christian didn't sleep much at all. He was coughing all night, and sometimes he couldn't breathe and was gasping for several seconds (that I can tell you felt much longer than that). At 5am he was up and coughing non-stop, so that was my official wake-up time. With a fever and a few other symptoms, I got concerned and made a doctor appointment.
Second poo: I then got a call at work and another round of lay-offs...some of my good friends were let go today. I had read an article recently about the effect lay-offs have on those who are not let go...depression and guilt remain at the top of that list. I definitely am feeling those pangs, as are other co-workers. Because I work from home, I didn't even get to say good-bye.
Third poo: The doctor appointment went well, we got 3 medications including - my favorite - an inhaler. Trying to get a toddler to allow you to keep an inhaler over his mouth for 6 breaths is no easy fete. At least he went to bed without a fever, and the coughing is minimal (at least right now).
Poo #4: We got word about my brother's quickly impending deployment. I can't give any information on public Internet, but the whole reality of it all is hitting hard.
And last but not least: At the end of the day, I got Christian ready for his bath, and (long-story-short) got poo all over me (REAL poo). NICE.
Tomorrow is another day. Let's just hope that there is less poo.
