Our little family that will be expanding in just a few short months
This year for the 4th we were given the opportunity to ride on one of the church floats in the annual Nuevo 4th of July Parade. Everyone did a fabulous job of planning and decorating the floats. Christian loved all the balloons, and enjoyed the attention he got as we waved and smiled our way down the parade route. We had plenty of sunscreen, water, and a squirt bottle that we got a lot of use out of.

After the parade Danny went back to the church to help clean up and return the hay to the owners. Christian and I napped and just rested until Danny came home. We then headed to Monica and Scott's house (Danny's older sister) for BBQ and swimming. Christian had a blast jumping off the side of the pool in his wetsuit to us (Nana's influence...thanks mom!). We had a great time with family and friends.

At the end of the night (around 9pm) we were able to see several fireworks shows from Monica and Scott's backyard. You can't beat the view, and we didn't have to deal with crowds! Christian fell as asleep as soon as we got in the car (it was 2 hours past bedtime), and last night we all slept like logs. :-) What a great day!

I am so thankful to live in this great country. I am so proud of my brother who is serving to keep our country independent and safe. Thank you to all of the men and women who serve in one capacity or another to protect our country and its values.
