Yesterday was the second consecutive Monday that our little family escaped the heat of Nuevo for a day and headed to the beach. Due partly to non-existent funds for parking, and partly to an adventurous spirit, we decided to fore go our normal beach destination (Huntington Beach) and look for a new spot for the day.
We ended up at Coronado beach. Parking was CLOSE and free. Bathrooms were nice (well, at least as nice as they can be at a public beach). The weather was outstanding. And the sand, oh the soft, wonderful sand. It was like powdered sugar between my toes.
Christian loved the way the sand flew in the air...especially when the wind was blowing towards mommy and daddy. Needless to say all of our bags were filled with sand at the end of our trip. It was a PERFECT day, worth repeating, for sure.
We are so thankful for the blessing of time to be able to just get away and be a family. Without ministry responsibilities, without financial obligations, without LIFE getting in the way. What a gift this day was!
