"CHEESE!"
This was the best shot I could get with my boy...he is definitely TWO!
Christian hamming it up while I read him his birthday card
Today (Saturday, August 22nd) we celebrated Christian's 2nd birthday with friends and family. Indeed, it took a little of energy out of me, I can't lie. After all, at 31 weeks pregnant staying on my feet all day and staying up until 1am isn't the same as it was B.C. (before Christian). Jessica said it best, "Why can't pregnancy come with a personal masseuse?"
Christian woke up in a pretty good mood, and was excited to see all of the furniture rearranged with streamers and balloons strewn about. As the morning went on the preparation came together and we soon had guests arriving. With each new person (and kid) that arrived, Christian got more and more excited (and hammy).
Danny took this pic of Ethan...what a cutie!

Ava and Julia - too cool for school!

Jake was able to make it to the party...just as I was putting Christian down for his nap. As soon as Christian knew that Jake was there, I had no hope of getting him to rest. He only wanted to play with Uncle Jake. After Jake left, the banshee came out, so he went to bed slightly earlier than normal.

I so appreciated my hubby's help in the preparation for the party. I was reminded of the reason God intended there to be TWO parents to children...it helps to protect the sanity of the parents. God has really blessed me with my boys. :-)
