Nuevo

Springtime in Nuevo is unlike any other place I've lived.  Now, I know that it isn't officially "Spring" yet, but the rains and warm sunshine that we've had of late have certainly made it look like Spring around here.

I LOVE the open fields of Nuevo.  I always have.  I really enjoy driving down Nuevo Road or San Jacinto Road and just getting lost in the open fields and mountain views that I lay before me.  We also have a local airfield that people regularly skydive at (and occasionally go up in hot air balloons at).  I LOVE watching dozens of people sprinkle down out of the sky with their parachutes.  I am always in awe of such a sight.

Today while running errands I was lucky enough to take in such amazing sights before stopping in at the local post office "where everyone knows your name".  I LOVE our post office.  It is small, I rarely have to stand in line, and the workers are incredibly nice.  After a casual chat with the postmaster, the boys and I went outside just as a woman, her son and their baby lamb on a leash walked up the path.  Christian's face lit up.  The lamb stayed outside with the woman's son as she went in to do her business as usual in the post office.  I chuckled as such a sight is quite ordinary around here.

As I drove home, taking in the view and reflecting on the events of the day, I realized something.  I am falling hard for Nuevo.  I really do LOVE this place!
