Burnt Gingerbread Men...What's a Girl to Do?

I'm no pro in the kitchen (shocking, I know).  I have, however, had a lot of practice getting creative with my mistakes.  And so, when I burnt just over a half dozen gingerbread men, I had a plan...

 I let them dry out for a couple of weeks, and then gave them a coat of light brown acrylic paint...

I then gave them Christmasy outfits to wear, after all, it is Christmas.

And when I was done, they were all dressed and ready for Christmas.  They were all quite pleased at the end of the process.  

I finished them up with a clear coat of sealant and let them dry overnight.

My repurposed gingerbread men can be Christmas tree ornaments, but I have another plan for them.  They will adorn a garland I am making for my sister-in-law.
