My mother-in-law is a very inspirational gardener. Whenever I have a gardening question that I can't find an answer to, she invariably has the answer I'm looking for.
Recently we were talking garden-talk and she told me she had clipped her basil plant when it was bolting (flowering). She put the clips into a glass of water and it sprouted roots! She's now replanted the clippings and has new basil plants!
I have a lemon basil plant that has been bolting, so I figured I'd give this theory a try. IT WORKED! Time to plant these babies.
