Welcome Spring!

The other pastor's wife, Kelly, bought me these lovely daffodils yesterday. I awoke to find that they had opened! I just love how they seem to announce spring with bright color and a trumpet shape.

I bought a bunch of pink tulips at Costco Saturday. They made 2 arrangements that just chase away the hints of winter that might be lingering.

This is my decor for the cabinets in the hall.

We went to Illuminations on Monday and they are going out of business. Sad for them but good for us. I got these berries for my mantle for $2. (It is awfully fun to spend $24 at a store like that and on the receipt see that I saved $118!!!)

Our fruitless cherry tree in the front yard is blossoming! I just LOVE those delicate little pink blossoms.

Before - an overwhelming, all encompassing weed jungle in our backyard

After - Two days of hacking away at the clay dirt and it is finally clear!
I think I might be nesting. I actually looked at spring wreaths (something I've never been a huge fan of for my front door...wreaths are for fall and winter in my book), and I had a strange urge to go out and get the materials to make my own spring timey, flowery wreath. I told Danny about it, and how weird that way. His response? "Honey, you're pregnant. Everything with you lately has been weird." HA!
